Yet another Zoe Daniel/ABC News exercise in omission and petty political point-scoring. Here are just some of the things the ABC refused to mention.
“Unemployment has reached the lowest point in half a century.”
African American, Hispanic American and Asian American unemployment have all reached their lowest levels ever recorded.”
“unemployment for American with disabilities has also reached an all-time low.”
“No one has benefitted more from our thriving economy than women, who have filled 58 per cent of the newly created jobs last year.”
“All Americans can be proud that we have more women in the workforce than ever before.”
“We also have more women serving in Congress than at any time before.”
“According to a CBS poll, 76 per cent of American viewers approved of the speech.”
“When broken down by party, almost all Republicans, 97 per cent, said they approved of Trump’s speech, and 82 per cent of independents said the same.
Only 30 per cent of Democrats, however, say they approved.”
In the wake of his State of the Union address, Trump’s approval rating has climbed to 52 per cent – his highest since 2017: nypost.com/2019/02/11/trumps-approval-rating-rises-to-52-percent-highest-since-2017/
