Professor Michael Rectenwald reflects on the de-personing of Milo Yiannopoulos as part of the left-wing authoritarianism that has dominated colleges and universities throughout the US, Canada and the UK.
These tactics were actually used in the Soviet Union and the Cultural Revolution period (1966-76) in Communist China.
They are not only outwardly repressive, but they also involve psychological terror, resulting in self-censorship.
This is a serious development which needs to be stopped.
