CNN Alisyn Camerota With Chris Cuomo, CNN Alisyn Camerota couldn’t help but laugh at the latest strategy of having President Donald Trump’s attorney Michael Cohen take the fall for the Stormy Daniels pay-off.
Alisyn Camerota Mocks Trump Lawyer’s Payoff to Stormy Daniels: ‘Talk About Devotion!’ Chris Cuomo With Alisyn Camerota.
CNN’s Alisyn Camerota had a bit of a laugh on Wednesday as she talked about Michael Cohen and his massive payout to the porn star who allegedly had an affair with President Trump several years ago.

After denying it for several weeks, Cohen confessed on Tuesday that he paid Daniels $130,000 out of his own pocket. The lawyer insists the Trump Organization had nothing to do with the transaction, but the revelation invites a plethora of new questions about the Daniels saga, and Camerota chuckled as she brought it up on CNN’s New Day.

“Talk about devotion,” Camerota exclaimed. “Either Michael Cohen was having the affair with Stormy Daniels or on he is really taking one for the team here.”

David Gregory and Chris Cuomo were skeptical about what Cohen told The New York Times, and Cuomo noted that the precise legalities are difficult to ascertain unless there is paperwork of Trump reimbursing his lawyer. Cuomo noted that Cohen was doing his job of protecting his client at the time, though Camerota snarked that he did it “out of the goodness of his heart.”
“In a private transaction in 2016, I used my own personal funds to facilitate a payment of $130,000 to Ms. Stephanie Clifford. Neither the Trump administration nor the Trump campaign was a party to the transaction with Ms Clifford, and neither reimbursed me for the payment either directly or indirectly,” Cohen said in a statement Tuesday, more than two weeks after the news broke about the payoff.
